There has been a recall today on cucumbers in nine states after some were distributed to Florida that contained salmonella according to a North Carolina vegetable and fruit distributor.

The states include Florida, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana,  New York, Tennessee, Nebraska, Wyoming and Texas. Because the cucumbers were distributed to wholesalers, they may have been distributed to other states as well, according to the company. The bulk cartons are marked Nature’s Delight and have lot number PL-RID-002990.

Salmonella can cause fever, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and serious complications for the young and old or with weak immune systems.

Have a safe and happy Easter!
